Practice Nurse (Long-Term Locum Cover)

Job Description

This long-term locum contract offers stability and integration into the practice team, with responsibility for both routine nursing and chronic disease clinics

Key Duties

• Provide chronic disease management clinics (asthma, COPD, diabetes).
• Deliver NHS health checks and lifestyle advice.
• Assist with minor surgery and dressings.
• Participate in screening programmes (smears, cardiovascular checks).
• Maintain treatment room stock and equipment.
  Contribute to QOF and practice audits.

Requirements

• NMC registration as a registered nurse.
• Training in chronic disease management.
• Experience with EMIS or SystmOne desirable.
  Able to work independently while contributing to a team.
